I discovered Mike from a recommendation of a contractor that had done work for me before. He was a great find that we’ve utilized for numerous occasions on our aging HVAC system and random electrical issues.
First time we called on him was for our AC that was not cooling during the hottest part of the summer. It was a while ago, but I’m pretty sure he came the same day because he was in the Virginia Beach area, being based out of Suffolk. After being here late into the evening troubleshooting, he found a freon leak in the outside unit that he repaired and then refilled the freon. I expected to pay an arm and a leg, but I paid way less than I had originally thought.
After a couple days, it stopped cooling again and we called him again. He reverified his previous work which was still good and then began troubleshooting again. Long story short, there was a failed part in the outside unit. I thought I was going to pay a lot on this issue but he looked up our unit and found out it was still under warranty! I didn’t know you could look up that kind of information. It had 2 weeks left on the warranty so caught it at the perfect time, so the only thing I had to pay for was the labor.
Come colder weather, we discovered heating issues. Called him again and there was a failed heating element in the inside unit. He found and got a replacement part in less than an hour to get our heat going again.
He has even fixed an electrical issue in our receptacles in the house after I had briefly mentioned the issue we were having.
He’s very customer-oriented, able to come on short notice if he’s available. He doesn’t try to milk as much money as he can from a job. He focuses on the customer’s welfare and satisfaction. He’s reliable and trustworthy. He’s also a Navy veteran!
